I love combining my creativity and relationship-building skills to hunt for the best of the best to support our community. Whether in the classroom or at a growing startup, the unpredictability of each day brings new surprises that keep me on my toes and give me my own kind of adrenaline rush.

An began her journey with First Round as part of the inaugural Recruiter Track cohort, which helped her pivot from education and marketing into tech recruiting. The program led her to a role at First Round-backed company Cocoon, where she was a founding member of their Talent team.

Before entering tech, An spent several years exploring different paths that proved more relevant than they initially appeared. She created witty marketing campaigns for local Houston businesses like Three Brothers Bakery and taught first graders during the uncertainty of the pandemic - experiences that helped shape her adaptability and creativity.

Now as a Recruiter at First Round, she's come full circle, working with founders every day to build their early teams and advise them on best talent practices. She finds that each of her past roles, whether in the classroom or at a growing startup, have contributed to her ability to thrive in dynamic environments where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.
