We've developed a detailed new product-market fit framework for B2B founders

Elijah Lewis

Software Engineer

I grew up tinkering with computers from an early age, so it’s no surprise I made coding my career. I’ve always admired the entrepreneurs who both build great products and carry out impactful missions, so I’m thrilled to be a part of their journey by assisting them and our internal team as a software engineer at First Round.

I studied Computer Science at the University of Virginia, where I earned High Distinction for my machine learning research assisting folks with anxiety in an online therapy program. Post-college, I ventured to the cheese-filled land of Wisconsin to work at Epic, tackling healthcare interoperability as a full-stack engineer. While I loved my time as a Midwesterner, my entrepreneurial spirit kicked in, and I jumped into building my own products and started navigating the startup world.

Inspired by indie hackers, I bootstrapped a productivity SaaS application called Modal as a solo founder. Later, I went on to help found 4RL, a startup tackling the loneliness epidemic in Washington D.C. by connecting people in person. Building these products taught me a lot about engaging people and the power of community.

When I’m not knee-deep in code, you might find me lounging in the park with a good book, having coffee chats with friends, or attending poetry open mics. I’m a big foodie too; I’m always hunting down new restaurants and fiddling with recipes in my kitchen.
