We've interviewed dozens of founders for a new series on product-market fit.

Lindsay Goldman

Project Manager

I’m ridiculously excited to be part of the First Round team. If you look at my background on LinkedIn, you might wonder how I got here — my career has been spent in Federal business development and consumer marketing alongside 15 years in competitive cycling. The most interesting thing I’ve done is build a professional cycling team to race in the biggest events in the world — definitely not the traditional path into tech and investing.

But it’s the mix of these experiences that brought me here. Professional athletes have a lot in common with founders, as both require grit and dedication to succeed, and the art of selling means deeply understanding your market and customers and figuring out how to win both. I hope to spend the rest of my career digging into new business ideas, uncovering insights about markets and customers, and helping tenacious founders overcome challenges on the way to success. It’s a privilege to get to do this with First Round.

As a project manager, I get to work alongside Todd Jackson and other First Round folks to build systems, programs, and methodologies to help our companies increase the chance they get to product-market fit. I love exploring what it means to reach PMF, what it takes to get there, and developing a repeatable playbook to help founders along this path.

When I’m not working, I’m riding and racing bikes. While I’ve retired from professional road racing, I’m now a gravel racer taking on a handful of events across the US each year. I’m also really into my husband and daughter, web3, and that first cup of coffee every morning.
