Early founders: Get the customer intros you need faster with Discovery Assist

Community is a load-bearing pillar for First Round, and I’m honored to contribute to our community of entrepreneurs, experts and changemakers. As a First Round software engineer, I ideate, build features and squash bugs for our products like First Round Network, our forum for community members. While working my first “real job” at McDonald’s as a teenager, I discovered that I get the most joy from making meaningful connections with people, and I’m excited to forge and facilitate relationships here.

To echo a line from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton (which I’ve seen five times and counting): “There’s a million things I haven’t done — but just you wait.” After spending time at Cornell University in Ithaca, I took on the role of early employee and software engineer at four startups, two of which I saw through to the Series A stage. I’ve developed a passion for working with early-stage startups. Now that I’m working with hundreds of startups at First Round, I’m immersed in startup culture, at scale.

Having grown up on the west side of Oahu, I’m a part-native Hawaiian and a proud Kamehameha Schools alumna. In my free time, I enjoy planning big group meals, volunteering at nonprofits in the education and mental health spaces, and exploring San Francisco.
