Over the last decade, I have had two very different career paths before joining First Round. I became an elementary teacher after graduating from the University of Delaware and taught Special Education in Delaware and Pennsylvania. I decided to strengthen my skills as an educator and obtain my Masters’ Degree in Special Education. However, after five years of teaching, I decided to explore other career opportunities, transitioning into a sales and marketing role for a large homebuilder. While there, I created marketing campaign emails, planned sales and company events, maintained website content, and managed all social media accounts.
This now brings me to First Round! I’m thrilled to start my next chapter in venture capital as an Executive Assistant supporting Brett Berson. Since starting at First Round, the passion and dedication each and every team member exude in their work energizes me every day. Whether it’s supporting up-and-coming investors through First Round’s Angel Track, lining up insightful guests for the In Depth podcast, or planning the next get-together with our founders, I can’t wait to support the next generation of leaders across the First Round community.
I moved to Philadelphia nine years ago from Wilmington, Delaware to join a group of college friends in the city of brotherly love. What’s the best thing about living in Philadelphia? The food! After many years and countless tastings, I can finally recommend the best cheesesteak in the city. When I’m not working you can find me testing out a new recipe from Ina Garten, challenging myself to a HIIT workout, or planning my next gathering event with family and friends.
