As an Events Coordinator at First Round, I run end-to-end event logistics at our San Francisco office, creating one-of-a-kind experiences where founders and partners come together to build community, share knowledge, and strengthen our ecosystem.
Prior to joining First Round, I earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Design and Organizational Studies, with a minor in Technology Management from the University of California, Davis. Before graduating, I interned in two concurrent roles at Rivian: commercial program manager and events coordinator. In the latter, I planned and organized weekly social and networking events for the internship cohort, from sailing the Bay to lunch-and-learns. This experience is really what kick started my journey into event coordination. The intersection of people, processes, and creativity in these roles (including my position now at First Round) is at the heart of my approach to every event I run. It brings me so much joy to design experiences that foster meaningful connections and drive success.
Growing up in Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, and Beijing (with annual summer trips back to SF to visit relatives), I fostered a passion for traveling to new countries, embracing diverse cultures and soaking in new memories during extended breaks. Outside of work, you can find me hopping from restaurants to cafes around San Francisco, making bowls in the pottery studio or trekking new scenic trails around the Bay. Each of these activities fuels my creativity and inspires me to bring fresh ideas into both my professional and personal life.
